Jennifer Byrd M.S., L.P.C., N.C.C. | EMDR Trained

I believe counseling can be a powerful tool in helping humans develop, grow, and heal. I particularly enjoy working with people struggling with burnout and relationship issues. I work with teens, adults, and couples on a wide range of concerns, including anxiety, depression, self-esteem, grief, life transitions, career struggles, cultural adaptation, women's issues, and LGBTQ+ affirmative care.

In our sessions, we will take the time to identify what is causing anxiety, burnout, or tension in your relationships. Then, we'll develop practical tools to help you move forward and make life feel less heavy.

My approach is warm, non-judgmental, and relational because I believe healing happens through connection and understanding. I draw from a range of evidence-based modalities, including person-centered therapy, psychodynamic therapy, and trauma-informed methods like EMDR. With couples, I incorporate the Gottman Method.

I am a National Certified Counselor (NCC). In addition to my mental health training, I have a M.S. in Journalism from the University of Kansas and a M.S. in Higher Education Administration and Policy from Northwestern University.
